Local hairdressers are giving up their Mondays off, once a month, to give free cuts/blow dry to vulnerable young people at The Base. Check out the “what’s on” tab to see when they are next in the drop-in.

Streetlife’s official launch of The Base was held on Thursday 9^th December. The fabulous new day centre at 48 Buchanan St Blackpool was funded from the Government’s Places of Change Programme. Streetlife will provide inspirational activities and support for homeless young people from this site. Jason Euell from Blackpool football club cut the ribbon, met staff and young peoople and signed autographs.

Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service

In June 2010 Streetlife were privileged to be honoured with a Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service recognising the hard work which we do helping those who need it most.

The Queen’s Award is the M.B.E. for groups.
